With over 20 years experience, our Restoration service is the finest and most experienced in the area. From the beginnings of retouching photographs and negatives by hand, artists have transferred these skills over digitally, so that almost any image can be masterfully restored with awe inspiring results. We understand how important your old photographs are. Our employees can speak with you in-store regarding any special attention your restoration work may require, to ensure we achieve and exceed your expectations. NON-REFUNDABLE $45 ESTIMATE FEE REQUIRED

Total cost ranges from $95 to $295. Estimate fees are applied to the restoration total balance if you approve the estimate.

STEP 1: DROPOFF
Drop off at our location, discuss briefly with an employee, and pay the $45 Scan and Estimate fee. This is a non-refundable fee that includes the process of scanning your work as-is, onto a USB-A drive, and providing you with an estimate. If you approve the estimate, this fee will be credited to your total.

STEP 2: APPROVE OR DECLINE
You will be texted an estimate, that you can approve/decline via automatic text reply. If you decide to approve the work, work will continue. If you decline the work, you can then come to the store to pick up your original. There is no refund on your original estimate fee if you decline.

STEP 3: PICKUP
When contacted by the store, stop by and pick up your original print(s), the USB drive, any approved retouch prints, and pay the remaining balance.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • No, you will receive your original(s) just as left at our location. However, your new prints and digital files will have the modifications you requested upon order drop-off.

  • Our artists can do so! It is called colorization. Please be aware that the artists will take some liberties with color choices during this process.

  • If the work is to colorize a black-and-white photo, they will take creative liberties on the new colors.

    Otherwise, the artists only make specific changes as requested by you. Our in-store specialists will work with you to phrase your requests in a very specific way.

  • Richmond Camera does not currently offer this as a service.

  • If you change your mind, you will need to pay the estimate fee again., and we restart the process. The retouchers’ original estimate expires once you decline it.
