How to order prints online using A MICROSOFT WINDOWS PC

BEFORE YOU GET STARTED:

  • Ensure you have downloaded all the photos (that you wish to print) onto your computer, preferably into an easily accessible folder, or onto an attached USB drive.

  • Perform any editing from your computer in terms of color, brightness, etc. using whatever applications you have on your PC (but do not crop them in advance).

  1.  Visit https://www.richmondcamera.com/ on your phone.

  2. Tap the large gray button that says ‘ORDER PRINTS NOW’ towards the top of the screen, right below our company logo.

  3. On the resulting screen, tap the orange button that says ‘UPLOAD’ towards the top of the screen.

  4. Tap ‘MY COMPUTER

  5. While holding down a ‘CTRL’ key on your keyboard, click each image you want to print. Do not concern yourself with print sizes or quantities at this step. You are simply just selecting WHICH photos you want printed.

  6. Once you have them all selected, click ‘OPEN’ button towards the bottom of the screen.

  7. Your photos will begin uploading.

  8. Once your photo(s) have uploaded, your computer’s web browser will automatically switch to a webpage showing a grid of image thumbnails (small squares).

  9. There are multiple ways to order prints at this point:

    1. To order one of each:

      1. Simply click the small square checkbox at the top left of the screen that says ‘Select All’.

      2. Then click the ‘+’ symbol beside the print size you need. Note: Tapping it multiple times increases the quantity.

      3. Click ‘CHECK OUT’ (the large green button at the bottom right corner)

      4. Continue to step 12.

    2. To order different sizes/quantities of each image:

      1. Click the first image in the grid of image thumbnails. An orange box should appear around it.

      2. Click the green ‘ORDER’ button in top right corner.

      3. Then click the ‘+’ symbol beside the print size(s) you need. Note: Clicking it multiple times increases the quantity.

      4. Click ‘ORDER’ again to return to the thumbnail grid of all your images.

      5. Click the next image you want to print, and REPEAT steps 2-4.

  10. Once you have ordered all of the sizes/quantities you need, click the green CHECK OUT button at the bottom of the screen.

  11. This step is CRITICAL. The top of the screen says ‘REVIEW & CROP.’ It is your responsibility to ensure the images are cropped correctly on this screen. For each image/size combination, you will see the image with a green box around it. The green box is the part that will print. Anything outside of the green box will NOT print.

    1. You can click the green icon in the bottom left corner of any image to ‘rotate’ the crop. (Horizontal vs Vertical). Clicking it again changes it back.

    2. You can click and drag the white circle in the bottom right corner of any image to ‘zoom in’ as much as you want.

    3. You can click anywhere inside the green box, and drag the green box around until you have the printable green area just the way you want. There is no need to ‘save’ your cropping selections, as the software automatically saves as you go.

    4. NOTE: Richmond Camera does NOT stretch images to fit a certain rectangle shape. However, if you do not like the cropping, you do have one alternative. Please understand that this ‘do not crop’ option adds two white borders to each print that would otherwise be cropped. 99% of customers do NOT want the white borders, so please follow the steps below at your own risk.

      1. At the top of the screen you will see a dropdown box with a green rectangle on it.

      2. Select ‘Fit to Page’ (Not Cropped). This means two white borders will be added to any image that would otherwise have been cropped. Please be sure that you are okay with two white borders on each print. This setting affects the entire order.

  12. Click the large green ‘NEXT’ button at top right.

  13. Click the large green ‘CHECK OUT’ button at top right.

  14. Choose Glossy or Matte for your finish. 95% of customers choose Matte Finish.

  15. If you want white borders (5% of height or width) added to each side, click the ‘Add Borders to Prints’ checkbox.

  16. Click the large green ‘NEXT’ button at top right.

  17. Again, click the large green ‘NEXT’ button at top right.

  18. On the Pickup/Delivery screen, you can simply click the large green ‘NEXT’ button at top right if you want to pick them up in person. Alternatively, you can tap the ‘Ship My Order’ link at the top of the screen to have the order shipped directly to your home once complete.

  19. On the Billing screen, fill out the billing info as requested and click the large green ‘REVIEW’ button once complete.

  20. On the following screen, enter your payment info, then click the PLACE ORDER button.
