PRINT MOUNTING

Mounting is the process of affixing your prints to a rigid surface. This can not only keep a large print from warping, but it also provides more ‘substance’ to the print, transforming your print into more of a luxury product. Richmond Camera has over 80 years experience of handling your cherished memories. There are a variety of mounting options to choose from, with different archival qualities, and different thickness.

NOTE: Matboard and Foamboard options are available online only. Cannot be ordered in-store.

Matboard: Standard, 1/16” archival ‘rag mat’ board. Available in white.
Foamboard: Heavy duty,3/16”, extruded archival foam board bonded between two layers of Luxcell wood-fiber veneer. Available in white.

Frequently asked questions

  • We only mount prints that we are in the process of printing, as well. One workaround would be for us to make a new copy of your print, and mount the copy.

  • Absolutely, and most of our customers do frame their mounted prints. Framing, however, is not a service that Richmond Camera offers.

  • For custom sizes, select the next highest size that would contain your print size. If you choose Smooth Masonite and need a custom size, an additional 25% of the mounting cost will be added. Note: we do not mount smaller than 5x7.

  • Add 25% of mounting cost to have prints centermounted.
